We Are Delivering Internal Auditing Related Workshop for Central Banks
We work closely with Banka Slovenije in preparation and implementation of our central banking program. Through our increased cooperation, the Bank is realizing the potentials for institutional knowledge sharing through the CEF.
Banka Slovenije is very active in providing bilateral technical assistance in South East Europe. Through their activities in the region, they have identified common challenges and needs in developing capacities of the central bank internal audit functions. For this reason, we were very happy to welcome their proposal of a complementary program on internal audit in central banks.
The program attempts to capitalize on experiences of internal audit functions in central banks in the region through the CEF as a knowledge sharing platform. It aims to stimulate knowledge and experience sharing in challenging areas for internal audit functions within central banks, such as internal audit annual planning, communication with the management, contributing to better controls, quality assurance activities, and others.
The first learning event from this series will take place on October 6–7, 2016 on Risk Based Auditing in Central Banks. The two-day event will be delivered by the Bank of Slovenia on subject matters that focus on establishing audit universe that fits central banks and discussing an annual planning exercise. The deadline for registration is September 7, 2016.
