May 27 – 29, 2025 North Macedonia No Fee

About this learning event

This event highlights the CEF's ongoing commitment to supporting European Union (EU) candidate and potential candidate countries in advancing their Reform Agendas (RA) and preparing their Economic Reform Programmes (ERP).

The first part of the event, taking place on 27 May 2025, is dedicated to macro department of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) of North Macedonia. The primary goal of this day is to review the impact assessments from ERP 2025-2027 to assess what can still be improved, and to get acquainted with the models used by MoF to explore possibilities of using them for impact assessment of reforms in the areas of energy sector / digital transition, business environment and human capital. We will also prepare for future work on impact assessments through collaborative efforts with line ministries.

The second part of the event, held from 28–29 May 2025, is designed for public officials involved in the implementation of the Reform Agenda. The learning objectives for this segment are as follows:

  • To ensure more effective implementation of reforms within the Reform Agenda team and assure that no step will be left behind.
  • To enhance monitoring and reporting capacities of implementing institutions.
  • To improve coordination and knowledge-sharing among various policymakers responsible for reform implementation.
  • To build competencies in budgetary planning of reforms.

This event will provide a platform to discuss with experts how to assure successful implementation and management of reforms, facilitating a more coordinated approach among RA team members.

Participation at this event is "by invitation only" and is intended for officials involved in the implementation of the RA and preparation of ERP, as well as other representatives of public institutions involved in coordinating and implementing the RA in North Macedonia.
