Slovenian Minister of Finance Boštjančič Hands Over the Chairing of the CEF Governing Board to Governor Sejko
Members of the CEF Governing Board met yesterday at the CEF headquarters in Ljubljana and confirmed the CEF’s 2021 annual report and financial statements. At the meeting, Mr. Klemen Boštjančič, Minister of Finance of Slovenia, concluded the one-year rotating chairmanship of the CEF Governing Board and handed it over to Gent Sejko, Governor of the Bank of Albania.
“Albania has been with the CEF for 20 years and intends to continue this joint journey. We will put the necessary attention and efforts that the CEF’s successful work will continue. We are looking forward to the cooperation with the CEF and the chairing of its Governing Board.” said governor Sejko as he received the CEF key, a symbol of knowledge and success, along with the booklet that contains messages from past Governing Board chairs to their successors.
The CEF Governing Board is a decision-making body of the CEF. It confirms the CEF annual report and financial statements and reviews the progress made and other relevant issues. Members of the Board comprise ministers of finance and governors of central banks from the CEF members (Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, and Slovenia). Members of the Board are also 3 representatives of the Advisory Board.
The annual meeting of the CEF Governing Board took place on June 8, 2022.
