New Learning Opportunities Announced for Western Balkans and Türkiye under FISR2 Project
To drive socio-economic convergence with the European Union, the Western Balkans countries are undertaking significant reforms as part of the Growth Plan for 2024–2027. This initiative focuses on strengthening governance, the rule of law, the digital and green transitions, human capital development, and the business environment.
As part of these efforts, the “Structural Reforms Better Integrated Within Fiscal Frameworks” (FISR2) project has developed a comprehensive calendar of learning opportunities for 2025. These initiatives aim to empower policymakers and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills needed to implement these ambitious reforms effectively. The learning program is specifically designed to address the unique needs of Western Balkan countries and Türkiye. Key focus areas include:
- Integrating the Reform Agenda with the Economic Reform Programme (ERP), the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA), and other EU initiatives.
- Implementing the Reform Agenda.
- Budgeting for structural reforms under the ERP and Reform Agenda.
- Reporting on the implementation and outcomes of the Reform Agenda.
- Assessing the impact of selected structural reforms under the ERP and Reform Agenda.
The program includes workshops, webinars, online courses, and study visits, offering participants opportunities to engage with experts, exchange best practices, and contribute to the region’s development goals. Public officials in the Western Balkans and Türkiye are encouraged to review the published calendar and register early to secure their participation in these impactful learning events.
