Meeting of the CEF Advisory Board Successfully Concluded
Annual meeting of the CEF Advisory Board, representative body of our donors and partners took place on September 12, 2017 at the CEF. Representatives of 15 institutions, all active in South East Europe (SEE), participated at the meeting with an aim to identify overlaps and synergies in the activities that we hold in the SEE region and see possibilities to strengthen mutual cooperation.
We presented the learning program for 2018 and its focus and direction until 2021 for deliberation by the Advisory Board. By thematic areas of budget planning and execution, auditing and accounting, tax policy and administration, and central banking we reviewed together with our donors and partners where our efforts for regional capacity development coincide so that we implement our programs as effectively as possible. We paid special attention to leadership aspects of each thematic area as leadership is the driver of reforms that the CEF and our partners are supporting.
The Advisory Board also chose representatives of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Slovenia to represent the Advisory Board in the Governing Board for the three-year term starting in 2018. The chair of the Advisory Board remains Sabina R. Stadler from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
