July is the Month of Kosovo at the CEF
We present Kosovo in July at our premises in Ljubljana, under the initiative of the CEF monthly constituency presentations.
We are marking the month of Kosovo with promotion materials in our lobby that will display culture, gastronomy, nature and landscape of Kosovo. We will spread the word about the presentation also through our various communication channels including social media.
Did you know the following interesting facts about Kosovo:
- located in the central Balkan Peninsula. It has a population of about 1.800.000.
- It's capital and largest city is Prishtina. It is also main commercial, cultural and industrial center.
- Kosovo's terrain is mountainous with the highest peak Gjeravica. It has two main plains and several rivers and lakes.
- The climate is continental with warm summers and cold and snowy winters because of its proximity to the Adriatic Sea at the west and mountain ranges to the east.
- The natural resources include lead, zinc, copper, silver, gold, brown coal, bauxite, lignite and nickel. Agriculture, mining and micro-enterprises are the major industries.
