Yesterday we were deeply saddened by the news that our dear colleague Ivana Gašparac has left us. Much too early after bravely fighting a serious illness. Ivana joined the CEF in 2001 and, as a highly experienced event coordinator, delivered numerous learning events for public officials in South East Europe.

She found joy in her work, recognizing that there is never a dull moment when organizing events—always something new to learn or master. Though it could be stressful, she found the work rewarding, especially when she saw people genuinely appreciate her efforts and the CEF.

We will remember Ivana for her unwavering dedication to her work and her infectious passion for making a positive change. She launched the “Go Green” initiative at the CEF. This will continue to inspire us as we will carry forward her mission of introducing greener practices.

She was known for her open and candid communication with a refreshing honesty that made her an exceptional colleague and friend.

We extend our deepest condolences to Ivana's family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, dear Ivana. You will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
