In Focus: Identifying Possibilities for Cooperation with Partner Institutions in Development Projects in SEE
The CEF Advisory Board Annual meeting comprising of our partner and donor institutions was held on December 8, 2015. We discussed how to expand mutual cooperation while taking into account our synergies and complementary roles. Participants reviewed CEF Learning Program 2016-2020 and CEF learning packages and expressed interest to continue the discussion based on those documents, as well as on the proposals shared by individual Advisory Board members.
Advisory Board members expressed the wish that the CEF continues providing a platform to coordinate donors’ and partners’ efforts to assure optimal use of financial and human resources for the needs of finance officials in South East Europe (SEE). The meeting participants’ emphasized that the CEF program in technical fields of PFM, tax policy and administration, and central banking should be anchored in enhanced fundraising for the program covering leadership related aspects. From the methodological perspective they advised the use of blended learning approach – combining online and face-to-face events as it is most appropriate for the CEF constituency. They also addressed the CEF’s new institutional status and its impact on the member countries, programs, funding and CEF governance structure, in particular the Advisory Board.
Advisory Board is a flexible network of our donors and partners that are actively supporting the CEF or have a large scope of activities in the SEE region. The chair of the Advisory Board is Mr. Mitja Štrukelj from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
