Budget officials from five line ministries, namely Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Transport and Communications attended the meeting at the Ministry of Finance, as well as representatives of donors. Participants confirmed their motivation to participate in the project that supports strengthening coordination and financial capacities of line ministries through learning.  

It was encouraging to learn about on-going initiatives that are complementary to this project, such as a network of budget users in Macedonia to better coordinate and exchange experience among themselves. They reinforced the importance of learning through networking and agreed on the proposed steps for the first project activities. 

On the occasion, the CEF Director, Mira Dobovišek, and team members also met with the Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, Deputy Head of Budget Maja Argirovska, and Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, Dimitar Bogov.
