CEF at Two International Conferences in North Macedonia
CEF director, Jana Repanšek, is in Skopje, North Macedonia where she is a key note speaker at two international conferences. International Human Resources (HR) Conference, held on May 20, highlighted the contribution of the HR profession to sustainability of the businesses. The High-Level Conference on Preparation of Economic Reform Programmes (ERPs), held on May 22 will address ERPs and structural reforms to advance competitiveness and inclusive growth.
The 11th International HR Conference took place on the date of the first International HR Day celebration across Europe. The conference highlighted the contribution of the HR profession for sustainability of the businesses and underlined the importance of people management in a wider context. In her presentation Transforming Public Sector Institutions to Become Learning Organizations and Knowledge Hubs. Ms. Repanšek presented how to increase capacity of HR departments in the public sector institutions so they can move from their predominantly administrative roles into supporting their staff in transforming themselves, their teams, institutions, and countries.
The High-Level Conference on Preparation of Economic Reform Programmes (ERP) will provide a forum to discuss how to better prepare future ERPs in order to enhance economic policy coordination and its governance with the aim to pursue structural reforms to overcome the obstacles to competitiveness and inclusive growth. Ms. Repanšek will present the project Strengthening Line Ministries' Capacities to Assess Fiscal Implications of Structural Reforms that the CEF has been entrusted by the EU to design and implement. The project addresses challenges related to inconsistencies in integrating the structural reforms into the fiscal programming and overall fiscal frameworks of the countries.
