The CEF experts have delivered workshops focused on the basics of internal audit (December 2016), introduction to public financial management (April 2017) and currently ongoing workshop on fundamentals of internal audit.

CEF and Expertise France received positive feedback from the workshops` participants on the learning content and approach quality. Participants’ feedback is important to CEF for future planning of learning deliverables and choosing the most efficient methodology for the Egyptian Ministry of Finance staff.

The CEF and Expertise France established a consortium in order to implement a 3-years EU funded project ‘Support to Public Finance Management reform in Egypt’. The overall objective of this project is to support Egypt in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, accountability and transparency of the Ministry of Finance through public finance reforms. The specific objectives are to support the development of an overall strategic PFM reform plan, to support the MoF capacity building on PFM components and the implementation of specific PFM reform actions, and to support the development of IT systems for PFM components.
