CEF and CIPFA Reaffirm Longstanding and Strong Partnership
Today CEF Director Jana Repanšek and International Director at Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Khalid Hamid signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reaffirm the strong and successful partnership between CEF and CIPFA. Both organizations have a common interest in enhancing the quality of public financial management, governance, and accountability in the public sector.
Our partnership started two decades ago, with joint certification training programs for public sector accountants (PACT) and internal auditors (TIAPS) in Slovenia and South East Europe. Over the years we have expanded our partnership and are convinced that working together makes learning programs much more impactful, and delivers real benefits to public sector accountants and auditors, both regionally and globally.
“We are enthusiastic that this partnership will strengthen and advance the interests and collaborative activities of both organizations in developing learning programs that are in line with the most recent professional standards and trends that respond to the CEF constituency’s needs for training in the area of public accounting and internal audit,” said Ms. Repanšek. Similarly, Mr. Hamid noted: “An MoU is a sign of common ground, mutual understanding, and good faith, and the work our two organizations have conducted together over the years, including training, knowledge sharing, and events, is evidence of our shared commitment to furthering public financial management in South East Europe.”
The MoU was signed virtually on January 27, 2023.
