This webinar will assist internal auditors providing value in a challenging public sector environment. In this regard, we will discuss why it is important to become a trusted advisor, emphasizing the attributes and purpose of internal auditing that is not about finding mistakes, but about providing assurance, advice, insight, and foresight. We will explore how internal auditors can be recognized as trusted advisors and secure 'a seat at the table.' We will examine the importance of trust, the responsibilities of a trusted advisor, and the key characteristics that internal auditors need to embody to be viewed as trusted advisors.
We will also discuss how to identify appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal audit function, and how to provide value, trust, and authority in a challenging environment, including conducting services in new areas such as digital transformation and innovation.
