About this learning event

The study visit will take place in Podgorica, Montenegro. It will be organized back-to-back with WeLearn Workshop on Policy Cycles and Reforms in the Public Finance Sector. It will involve visits to different public institutions, with an emphasis on sharing experiences related to the EU integration process. Additionally, a cultural component will be integrated into the study visit.

We are going to visit the following public institutions: Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of European Affairs, Central Bank of Montenegro, ReSPA – Regional School of Public Administration, Ministry of Public Administration, and Delegation of the EU to Montenegro.

Participants will get an insight into the functioning of these public institutions and deepen the knowledge on the EU accession process, each institution also highlighting the opportunities and challenges with the EU integration process and explaining what is their institutional view on the Montenegro approach to the EU accession process. The main topic would be therefore related to the EU integration process within the public administration, while also answering some questions from participants and giving them advice on leadership and how to tackle challenges of the EU integration in public office.
