About this learning event

As part of the Jumbo opening meeting for Cohort 2, a dedicated session will be held with the participants of WeWrite. This session will provide an invaluable opportunity for the group to come together and engage in discussions around the program’s objectives, key processes, and expectations. The session aims to foster a sense of community and collaboration among the mentees, as well as to ensure that everyone is aligned with the goals and methodologies of the WeWrite component.

This will be the first in-person meeting for the group, marking a significant milestone in their journey. It will give mentees the chance to connect with each other, share insights, and build relationships that will be vital throughout the program. Additionally, this meeting will allow them to meet and engage with their mentors, who have been specifically assigned to support them in developing their policy papers over the coming months.

Laura Katarina Jularić, who will be overseeing the WeWrite component for Cohort 2, will provide a detailed presentation of the timeline, key milestones, and the overall process. She will clearly outline what is expected from the mentees and what they will need to accomplish in the upcoming year. Her presentation will ensure that the participants are fully informed about the steps they need to take and the level of commitment required.

Vlado Dimovski, the lead mentor of the WeWrite component, will then introduce the Methodological Guidelines, which will serve as the foundation for the mentees as they work on their policy papers. He will explain the structure, best practices, and important considerations that the mentees will need to follow to ensure the quality and effectiveness of their work.

Furthermore, at this meeting, each mentee will have the opportunity to present their draft topic for their policy paper. These draft topics were requested earlier in June, in order to give the participants time to develop a clear orientation on their chosen topics. While these initial ideas may evolve over the summer through bilateral meetings with their mentors, this session will serve as an important starting point for discussions and refinements.
