WeLead: Foresight and Complexity Management
About this learning event
Alumni members and participants of the WeLead project will be offered free access to self-paced online courses on the CEF Online Learning Campus (OLC). Foresight informs the thinking that occurs before strategic decisions are made by expanding the perceptions on the strategic options or choices available to the organization. This online course will illustrate new methods and tools for planning social changes. It will explore the usefulness and applicability of foresight methodologies to organizational decision-making.
The self-paced course conveys the basic ideas, steps, methods, and techniques of two complementary fields: foresight and complexity management (units 1 and 2). The course highlights foresight in public policy, pointing the direction to useful resources, and potential partners (unit 3). Unit 4 focuses on empowering participants to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations from their professional life by introducing helpful techniques used in both disciplines. A wrap-up and final assignment in unit 5 aims at consolidating attained knowledge and supporting participants in translating it into action.
