Enhanced Institutional Capacity for Talent Management
About this learning event
As part of the “WeLead EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans” project, we will organize webinars and high-level visits to institutions to raise awareness of the strategic development of human resources and talent retention, particularly of young civil servants.
Western Balkan economies are among the most affected by brain drain in Europe, with expectations that this trend continues also in the future. The lost of people poses various pressures on the socio-economic development in the countries, by affecting health and pension systems, but also weakens the institutions as talented, educated people find no motivation to stay.
At the webinar we will surface challenges and offer possible solutions for managing talent within the public institutions, a challenge in the Western Balkans that needs high attention. To effectively address brain-drain, the human resource function needs to be strengthened through the development of capabilities for effective human and institutional knowledge management.
By presenting best practices, we will open a discussion about what can be done at both personal and institutional levels.
Who should attend
Public servants working in HR, training and strategy departments. This webinar is intended to support an informal network of HR specialists from the public institutions in the Western Balkans to enhance regional knowledge sharing, transfer of best practices and peer-to-peer learning.
