Auditing Central Bank Governance
About this learning event
According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), an effective internal audit function coupled with strong oversight by a high-performing audit committee is a key enabler of good governance that helps to develop robust control environments and supports stronger central banks. This webinar will address the importance of the internal audit function while assuring managers of the efficiency and effectiveness of the central banks’ processes linked with risk management, internal control, and governance. We will also relate how the value added by internal auditors is closely connected with their independence and adequate capacities to accomplish their mission.

This webinar will be delivered under the guidance of:
- Marjeta Kržič FCCA, CIA, Assistant Director in Internal Audit, Bank of Slovenia
Marjeta is currently working at the Bank of Slovenia as an Assistant Director in Internal Audit. She has worked for the Bank of Slovenia's Internal Audit Department for the past eight years. She worked in external audit for a Big 4 firm for 8 years before joining the Bank of Slovenia. She is a certified internal and external auditor.
- Victor Lipet, Head of Operational Audit Division, National Bank of Moldova
Victor Lipet has been with the Internal Audit Department since 2010. Starting with 2014 he is leading the Operational Audit Division where he is responsible for the overall performance during audit engagements, including planning and reporting of the audit activities. Also, Victor has a Master’s degree in Psychology, which helps foster his performance using soft skills analysis of organizational challenges. He works with public and private institutions in developing areas like capacity building, change management, and communication. In this regard, he combines internal audit experience and delivers training and speeches during conferences and workshops on psychological principles regarding organizational development.
