ReSPA and CEF Explore Synergies
Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) and the CEF continue to develop their partnership by exchanging experiences and ideas for joint projects. With this purpose ReSPA Director, Ratka Sekulović, and Programme Manager Ranka Batula-Mušikić, visited the CEF last week.
As peer institutions, ReSPA and CEF share a handful of common or closely related goals and stakeholders, such as the target region and institutions. The CEF is one of ReSPA’s advisory board institutions, and ReSPA is one of CEF’s valued partners. ReSPA, headquartered in Danilovgrad, Montenegro, is facilitating regional cooperation in public administration in the Western Balkans through training activities, high level conferences, networking events and publications with the aim to transfer new knowledge and skills and facilitate the exchange of experiences both within the region and between the region and the EU and its member states. While ReSPA is focused on the wide specter of public administration reform issues, the CEF’s target is mainly its public financial management pillar.
Both institutions put increased attention to promoting leadership in public institutions that is--next to technical knowledge--a critical ingredient for pursuing demanding reform and development agendas. The CEF is looking forward to developing our partnership and shared agendas with ReSPA.
