Preparations for the learn4dev Network Annual Meeting on Innovations in Learning and Learning Technologies in Full Speed
The CEF is an active member of the learn4dev network, covering its communication activities and in this role taking part in the network`s core group. We participated at the regular meeting of the core group on April 20-21, 2016, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The main focus of the meeting was planning and preparing for the next learn4dev annual meeting that will take place on June 15–17, 2016, in Rome, Italy.
The annual meeting will address innovations in learning and learning technologies and will be hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in co-operation with Agence Française de Développement (AFD). The key note speaker will be Jane Hart, well-regarded international speaker and writer on modern approaches to workplace learning.
At the core group meeting, together with the organizers and the representatives of the Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Commission we discussed the progress with preparations for the annual meeting, and shared our experiences and ideas with the organizers.
The learn4dev network unites donor organizations that contribute to more effective and harmonized development cooperation. Its objective is to promote improved aid effectiveness for poverty reduction by enhancing donor cooperation in the field of competence development and training. Learn4dev member organizations offer mutual support for better competence development by providing trainings, sharing resources and exchanging experiences on ways to strengthen competencies and achieve optimal results. Members cooperate in different thematic areas in the form of expert groups. We are members of the Knowledge Sharing / Knowledge Management, Public Financial Management and Organizational Learning expert groups.
