The conference targets public (financial) management practitioners and experts from ministries, international institutions, professional associations, embassies, and faculties. The speakers include, among others, Gerd Schwartz and Norman Gillanders from the IMF; Boštjan Vasle, Maja Bednaš, Alenka Kajzer and Marjan Hafner from the IMAD, and Niamh Hardiman from the University College Dublin.
The conference will take place on June 19, 2013 at Hotel Slon in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) of the Republic of Slovenia is an independent government office. The Center of Excellence in Finance is a regional institution promoting capacity development in public financial management and central banking in south east Europe. We deliver tailor-made learning programs for staff working in the public sector and central banks. We also provide technical assistance and promote research and policy dialogue on issues of public financial management and central banking. Our mission is to promote awareness of international standards and best practice in public financial management and central banking by organizing specialized learning events, encouraging knowledge sharing and research, and providing technical assistance.
