Agenda of the Romanian Chairmanship over CEF Governing Board Presented to the Romanian Ambassador in Ljubljana
On August 11, 2020, Mr. Anton Niculescu together with the Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Marius Cristea, visited the CEF. The director, Ms. Jana Repanšek, and the CEF's Senior Program Officer, Ms. Aleksandra Tekijaški, presented them the agenda of the Romanian Chairmanship over the CEF Governing Board.
The parties reiterated their eagerness to continue constructive collaboration, and explored venues of tighter links between Romania and the CEF. His Excellency, Mr. Niculescu, expressed willingness to take part in promotion of the Romanian Presidency over the CEF Governing Board and proposed regular briefings on the Chairmanship course. The parties also reflected on the public sector’s need to swift change urged by the Covid-19 pandemic and the CEF’s experience and success in adapting to new reality.
Governing Board is a decision making body of the CEF. It confirms the CEF annual report and financial statements, reviews the progress made and other relevant issues. The Board is currently chaired by Mugur Isărescu, Governor of the National Bank of Romania.
