Representatives of Adetef, a French governmental agency for international technical assistance in the economic and financial field, Chairwoman and CEO Ms. Agnes Arcier and Senior Advisor Mr. Nicolas Dubois visited the CEF to discuss cooperation opportunities between the two institutions.

Adetef representatives together with the CEF Director Ms. Mira Dobovišek and Deputy Director Ms. Jana Repanšek identified three possible areas of cooperation. First, French public financial management experts could, through Adetef, contribute to the CEF Workshops and Seminars program. Second, both institutions could jointly compete for projects of common interest. Third, the CEF invited Adetef’s representative to participate in the CEF Advisory Board. In addition, potential staff exchange between the institutions was discussed, as the two are similar and also complementary.

Adetef invited Ms. Dobovišek to attend the 5th edition of their conference entitled "Cooperation for State Building and State Reforming: Training Public Sector Managers for Economic Governance" to be held in March 2014 in Paris. Every year Adetef organizes an international conference which aims at putting the spotlight on high-level representatives from partner countries supported by technical assistance programs. This event has become a key opportunity to exchange views with international cooperation players.

The CEF and ADETEF plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on their future cooperation.
