Being a development training institution, we also pay particular attention to the capacity development of our own staff. Our long-term colleague Urška Zrinski recently moved on to the World Bank in Washington D.C. where she joined the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Secretariat. As a program advisor she is responsible for the quality assurance of PEFA assessments and is also taking over the training agenda to promote the PEFA framework. Urška joined the CEF in 2006 after completing Master’s studies at the University of London. She left the CEF with a PhD from the University of Ljubljana as an internationally recognized expert. We are proud of her career success and will certainly continue collaboration with her, especially taking into consideration that the PEFA Secretariat and CEF both strive for improving countries' public financial management systems.
Marie-Therese Camilleri is working at the CEF on an external assignment from the IMF as an advisor on central banking, contributing to fundraising, outreach and evaluation of CEF programs. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester, a Masters degree in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe and has close to 25 years of experience in this field.
