CEF Continues the Implementation of Training for Accountants in Macedonia

CEF has signed a contract with Ministry of Finance of Macedonia for the implementation of second cohort of Public Accountants Certification Training (PACT) in Macedonia. The financing is secured by the World Bank SAFE funding program, Central European Initiative (CEI), CEF and Ministry of finance of Macedonia.

The project will start in autumn 2014 and continue through 2015. One generation of students will be thought at level 1. Together with graduates from former cohorts of level 1, successful students will be enrolled in level 2 of the program. The implementation of level 2 is very much linked to the fact whether the contract extension will be approved. The Macedonian authorities will receive the translated materials for both levels, and trained local tutors. Level 1 will be taught by previously trained tutors, while for level 2, the CEF will publish call for applications and start the selection procedures.
