Ms. Krsmanović, Deputy Minister for Central Harmonization of Public Internal Financial Management and Control and Internal Audit at the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro, emphasized in her opening speech that 44 awarded students from the first two generations with internationally recognized CIPFA certificate strengthened their knowledge and competencies and improved internal control and statistical results of the internal audit.
The German government with its third grant in a row ensured the continuation of the professional qualification training program for public sector internal auditors in Montenegro. German Ambassador to Montenegro, Ms. Gudrun Steinacker highlighted the successful implementation of the first two TIAPS programs and encouraged students to become the driving force of combating corruption and grey economy.
Mr. Gary Gilbert, Associate of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, expressed expert support to newly enrolled generation: “When you complete this course and receive your certificates, you will demonstrate that you are capable and competent in your role. As a graduate of a CIPFA qualification, you will also show the world that you have attained the highest standards in International Public Financial Management.”
Ms. Mira Dobovišek, Director of the CEF, noted: “Our next goal is to make TIAPS a locally run and sustainable training program. This is based on a firm belief that the internal audit function is absolutely essential for the transparent development of the public sector.”
