SPB Newsfeed: High-Level Policy Dialogue on Strategic Planning and Budgeting in SEE
On September 3, 2013 the CEF organized a High-level Policy Dialogue on Strategic Planning and Budgeting in South East Europe in Bled, Slovenia. The event was held back-to-back with the annual Bled Strategic Forum and the signing ceremony of the Agreement on Establishing the Center of Excellence in Finance as an international organization.
The high-level policy dialogue is a part of the Strategic Planning and Budgeting project that is conducted by the CEF and financed by the European Union. The Bled event brought together ministers, governors and other high-level officials from across South East Europe and international experts.
The dialogue focused on macroeconomic and fiscal frameworks, fiscal impact of structural reforms, and policy coordination and planning processes. The dialogue, held as a highly participatory open round-table discussion, was a success, resulting in a number of valuable ideas and suggestions on how to further develop capacities and expertise for the design, implementation and coordination of economic and fiscal policies in South East Europe. This valuable input by dialogue participants will be duly taken on board in implementing the next phases of the Strategic Planning and Budgeting project.
