It can be expected that the rapid changes seen in recent years in payment instruments and in payment and securities settlement infrastructure will continue in the future.
This workshop provides an overview of the main developments within the wholesale European payments and securities settlement systems, oversight on these systems and latest developments. The event also focuses on the monetary policy framework and the implementation within the relevant systems.

Jaap has worked for almost 39 years for DNB.
This is his background information in more detail:
1976 - 1982: Accounting department.
1982 - 1992: ICT-Project manager.
1992 - 1998: Head of Payments systems and Back- office.
1998 - 2004: Head of Payments systems (TARGET).
2004 - 2008: Head of Back-office and Collateral Management.
Currently, Jaap is a Senior Policy Advisor with main area of interest being securities infrastructure. Jaap is:
- chair of the National User Group on TARGET2Securities,
- member of the Dutch Advisory Committee on Securities Industries,
- member of the Dutch Working Group on Liquidity Management and
- member of the COGESI.
Reinate van Ginderen, Policy Advisor, Treasury and Monitoring Operations Department, Financial Markets Division, De Nederlandsche Bank
Renate studied International Economics and Finance at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. During her Masters at Tilburg University, she also worked as a financial analyst for ECR Research where she was responsible for the monitoring of financial market developments in the Eurozone. In addition, she followed econometrics courses at HEC Lausanne and economics courses at Tor Vergata University in Rome.
After graduating, Renate started working as a policy advisor at De Nederlandsche Bank. She provides policy advice to the Board of De Nederlandsche Bank. She is involved with the implementation of monetary policy, focusing on issues like the counterparty framework of the Eurosystem, emergency liquidity assistance and the development of non-standard monetary policy measures.
Jessie van Zuilekom, CCP Supervisor, Oversight Department, Cash and Payment Systems Division, De Nederlandsche Bank
Jessie was educated at City University London (MSc Investment Management) and the Erasmus University Rotterdam (LL.M. Financial Law). Jessie has worked at De Nederlandsche Bank since 2013, first in the supervision of Investment Funds and Collective Investment schemes and later as a CCP supervisor.
Jessie is currently working as a supervisor with a focus on the oversight on clearing and settlement. She is among others responsible for the oversight on Holland Clearing House and EuroCCP, the Dutch CCPs. Furthermore, she is responsible for DNB's contributions to the CPMI-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures Implementation Monitoring exercise. Finally she is a member of two international EMIR Colleges of Regulators.
